The Round Up – April 18th, 2017

It’s been hectic the past few days.  Things are slowly getting back to normal though, which is always nice.  There have been a number of announcements/releases that have tickled my fancy, so I figured I would just clump them all into one big post…..

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Teaser = Nuff’ said.

This stylish teaser for “Code Vein” is all we have to go by right now.  It’s from Bandai Namco, the same company that brought you the punishing Dark Souls series.  If it’s the next Souls type game, I say bring it on.  More info will be released this Thursday.  Right now we do know it will be about vampires.  #preparetodine.

The Marvel Heroes Omega Closed Beta starts this Friday, April 21st on PS4!  If you want in, there will be the option to purchase a Founders Pack from the Playstation Store which gives you access to the closed beta for its duration; you also get Daredevil as a playable character.  No word on the Xbox One Closed Beta release.  You can watch the trailer for the beta here.

Today we saw the release of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap & The Disney Afternoon Collection.

Wonder Boy looks gorgeous and The Afternoon Collection will be a great chance to relive some amazing NES classics with updated features.  I can’t wait to dive in.  Love me some retro gaming.

Last but not least, PERSONA 5!  This game has consumed my life since it launched.  I’m working my way through, with a review on the way once I’ve finished the full game.  If you haven’t played this yet you’re missing out on one of the best JRPGs to come out in a long time.  If you want to read about me raving how Persona 5 is the rebirth of turn based RPGs, you can check that out here.

Anyways, that’s it for The Round Up.  Until next time! – NVJ
